What You Need To Know Before You Buy AScooter!

By Ross Bryan

Many a tear has been shed because it was a pretty candy-applered scooter in the showroom. The plush seating felt so good. Iteven had a headlight. It was purchased. But it wouldn't fit inthe elevator!

The first thing you need is a home healthcare professionalthat you trust to make sure that, if you do purchase a scooter,it will be the right one. If you talk to a scooter salespersonfor more than 5 minutes and you haven't started talking about thesituations it will be used in - walk away.

Of course the best way for you to buy a scooter is for you tobe the expert. If you do a little studying and homework you willknow a lot of what will be required to meet your needs. You willhave looked into where you will store your new chariot. If it'sin the front hall will the door still open properly? If you livein an apartment can you get through the laundry door? Can youopen the door while you are still seated on the scooter?

Many prominent retailers have booklets or reading material you can borrow to properly assess your requirements.

Lastly, consider purchasing from a well-established local firm. Over the next number of years you are going to need support and you'll what them nearby and responsive. Be leery of those"Mall Scooters". Will they really want to come all theway from their home base to fix a minor item, which of course is not minor to you. And what will it cost you then?

It is a major investment - do it right!
